⚖️Graduate and Professional Student Senate

I represented the collective voice and interests of our Department of Applied Mathematics in our graduate student government as a Senator on UW's Graduate & Professional Student Senate, sitting on on the Finance & Budget Committee.

As part of the Finance & Budget Committee, I advised and proposed our over $600,000 budget for FY25, as well as our $90,000 reserve fund. Our committee meetings involve hearing and deliberating on funding proposals from UW departments and Registered Student Organizations.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, I was elected as an Executive Senator, and also hired as our Office & Budget Director. This is an extension of my previous duties from last year: In addition to the Finance & Budget Committee I also serve now on the Travel Grants Committee and Executive Committee. We presented to the Student Activities Fund to directly request our operating budget for the following year.
