  1. OVERVIEW

MS-CFRM

There is an official page for the program, as well as the course catalog, which includes detail course offerings by quarter. The program is ranked 16th by QuantNet (locally in the U.S.) and 18th on Risk.net (globally). The University of Washington runs on the quarter system, with three terms per academic year.

The design allows for a typical full-time student to complete the program in four quarters (allowing for a summer internship while a student). The first two quarters you enroll for three classes, and the third is four. The final quarter typically would have a single class, which is offered in a hybrid format, allowing for students to take it virtually should they start in a role outside of Seattle.

That being said, there's no hard requirement to enroll for all of the classes each quarter (so long as you are not an international student necessitating full-time status). You can enroll part-time and progress through the program at your own pace otherwise.
